Accountant

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for compiling and analyzing a variety of accounting data and preparing related reports and other documents including inventory accounting.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Prepare, analyze, and reconcile weekly cost accounting and inventory reports for management.
  2. Perform cost of sales analysis.
  3. Perform various account and variance analysis.
  4. Analyze inventory levels and variances,
  5. Prepare financial and statistical reports for internal distribution and as required by external regulatory agencies.
  6. Assist in budget preparation and forecast.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills and Knowledge

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration and 1+ years related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
    • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment (cost accounting, inventory accounting preferred).
    • Advanced computer skills, including the use of accounting software.
    • Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation.
    • Working knowledge of accounting policies and practices.
    • Basic knowledge of information systems, specifically as related to accounting and reporting.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees.
    • Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents.
    • Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.
