Accountant
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for compiling and analyzing a variety of accounting data and preparing related reports and other documents including inventory accounting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile weekly cost accounting and inventory reports for management.
- Perform cost of sales analysis.
- Perform various account and variance analysis.
- Analyze inventory levels and variances,
- Prepare financial and statistical reports for internal distribution and as required by external regulatory agencies.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecast.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration and 1+ years related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment (cost accounting, inventory accounting preferred).
- Advanced computer skills, including the use of accounting software.
- Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation.
- Working knowledge of accounting policies and practices.
- Basic knowledge of information systems, specifically as related to accounting and reporting.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents.
- Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.
