Mold Maker/Tool Maker
Production - Fabrication
Opening for a Mold Maker/Tool Maker. In this position you will be responsible for contstructing complex hot runner injection molds to support MSI's manufacturing processes. You will troubleshoot and repair complex injection molds, analyze molded parts and determine repairs required. Additionally, you will disassemble and re-assemble molds.
Successful candidate will have experience and abilities according to following:
- 4 year Tool & Die Journeyman's Certificate
- Associates Degree with 6-years related experience.
- 10 years mold making experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience with all machine shop equipment -EDM.
- Experience with tool design, multi-cavity injection molding.
- Capability running CNC mill; familiartiy with programming CNC mills/EDM.
- Good working knowledge of lathe and grinders.
- Familiarity with/knowledge of welding.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to anticipate problems and implement preventative measures.
- Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to interact effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and production personnel.
- Ability to prepare written reports.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, maintenance instructions, and detailed procedure manuals.
